Coly010 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 they are amazing. anyway advice to a 13 year old beginning graphic design? did you have to download brushes etc and patterns? Quote
W3Theory || Peter Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Not bad work for such low prices, but advice to not use bevel as much and outer glow all the time. I myself used it alot and after a while learned to stop using it as much. Quote
Teath Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 @Coly010 - Thanks =) I usually make my brushes and patterns myself, but I also use brushes and patterns from DeviantArt. @W3Theory - Thanks for the advice =) Quote

Teath Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 These ones are downloaded. You have a good eye =) Quote
Coly010 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 its real hard for me to get brushes compatible with my photoshop :( its elements dont know what one but. easyelements.com is like the only place that i can get brushes and there hasnt been any new ones added:( Quote
Coly010 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 the only good one i made is my peacock one Quote
Teath Posted January 5, 2011 Author Posted January 5, 2011 I added new menu button example. I'm actually quite impressed, I was expecting some costumers faster with so low prices. I don't have much to do right now, that's because the prices are low. They might rise in the upcoming time. Quote
Maniak Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 In my opinion, they aren't bad, but all of your examples have the same "style" and "feel" to them. If I were you, i'd have a look at a few tutorials on blacksungfx.com, deviantart.com, or just google "Photoshop Tutorials" and play around with the different effects, which may bring in a few customers =) What I like to do is look at some Tutorials on Photo Manipulation and try to recreate the Tutorial and then use them effects on other Work. Teath Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 Yes, I know that. I'm so used to this style, and I personally think it looks good =) I'll try to make some different style pictures too. Quote
Teath Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 I added a new example too, should be a little different style =) Quote
W3Theory || Peter Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Hey, Not to big of a fan at all with the new one, it's just really hard to see and all you did was a bevel with like opacity or Soft Light over a background. No offense, but most of these works are done in about 3 minutes time if that. Atleast you are getting the basics down which is a positive and the last one you showed was nicely put together in the sense it wasn't super sloppy. Good luck though Peter W3 Theory Quote
Jordan Palmer Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 These are good for the price, I'm not a fan of the new one though Quote
Teath Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 Yeah well, as I said, it's not my style. Quote
W3Theory || Peter Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 But as a graphic designer, you should expand beyond one style though. http://www.good-tutorials.com/ I used that alot to test out new styles and keep practicing new ideas. Great place to look at it Quote
Teath Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 Okay, I spent some hours looking through different galleries, and trying different tricks. New example. I really, really put some effort in this, so I hope you will like it =) I'm waiting for comments. Quote
Diesl Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Do you any examples of game banners, ads or any graphic work that you've designed? So far you just posted up basic buttons or logos.. not so much graphic banners. As a designer myself, I have to say they are quite bland. Quote
Ghostriders Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 By the way I would recommend using the somethinglink[ /img] Function next time you post your work. :) Saves more time for the viewer. :) Quote
