Paul Evans Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 # If you hire a non-trustworthy coder, or get hacked, and the source code is taken and resold or used on other sites, the responsibility falls on you. # You are only purchasing a license to utilise the code to create a game - the code does not legally belong to you, only the license to use it. ok the first one is funny because your selling a product and yet your saying it's a high possibility to be hacked and then saying if the source is stolen by a hacker due to bad coding or the users fault then it's their problem... wow The second one is funny because on here more MC copyrighted code as actually been posted than anything else so that's totally against that rule/guideline who wrote this crap lol Quote
Jordan Palmer Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 We have rewritten the terms/conditions as I actually mentioned they all contradict each other and actually make no sense. However these will be released with the new site Quote
Paul Evans Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 whats that new mc base or mc scripture? still funny... Quote
The Spirit Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 The new MCCodes.com site :) Was the new site not released ages ago? Quote
Paul Evans Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 the new website is up isn't it... lol or are you guys wasting more time editing the mcc main website and not patching the immediate issues with the scripts already sold... im sure you guys love wasting time it did take what 3+ years for a patch of v2/v1 to be released and they sucked... damn i even contributed to finding exploits on them samples... v2 still has my website in the announcements lol shows how much mcc really care about the code. Quote
Jordan Palmer Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 That was more of a temp version, We needed a newer up to date layout so we got one made and are working to get it released. Paul; The new patch will cover all known bugs/exploits in the script. The older patch was released without any research going into it. Danny stop talking out your arse, your a douche. Quote
Danny696 Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Ahh, new it, just couldnt keep it there, told everyone the truth right..... Quote
Jordan Palmer Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 The scary part about you danny is that actually you believe yourself. so no your bullshit topics wont stay on here Quote
Paul Evans Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 lol danny pm me what you said i missed it Jordan: research? no research needed go through every file and consider using a little thing called logic you may make 1 or even maybe 2 mistakes but im sure someone will point it out. They created the engine a long time ago and still people who are working with it actually made more sense of it than them (IE you being employed (i hope they pay you)). Quote
Jordan Palmer Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 We are fully aware of that and I agree with you paul, However this time I will be around to point out bugs/exploits where I find em, and hopefully this time we can get things patched correctly. And yes I am paid Quote
Paul Evans Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 just for the record it is a percentage right im just curious... i won't ask how much just wondering if it's a percentage of sales. Quote
Jordan Palmer Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 It's a percentage of each sale and each sale on MD and other bits and bobs I do if I do ofcourse. Basically I get paid for everything I do Quote
Paul Evans Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 so you get a percentage of mcv2 patched when it comes out? so if it gets hacked by someone when it's fully released do you give that percentage back or do you keep it and get another percentage of the next patch? Quote
DylanTimby Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 The patched version was AMAZING you gotta say ;) Quote
Paul Evans Posted January 3, 2011 Author Posted January 3, 2011 i guess because it took like 28 second more time to hack it than the older one... due to lag... Quote
Joshua Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 lol. Re-code, Re-Code, Re-code I seriously need to just sit down and write my own engine that's as simple as McC but secure. Then release it for free and end the drama over mcc :| Would have paid add-ons of course but eh ;d Quote
Paul Evans Posted January 3, 2011 Author Posted January 3, 2011 that's what kyle said... nuff said Zap, ezrpg... gprg there is so much more than MCC i mean CG is custom built and that's taking a while wouldn't like to think about making an engine too much work but CG is rather customisable from the user side it's possible it may transform to a engine in the future (just a word to the wise for the MCC team, my shit will be secure...). CG can change from mafia to pirate in afew swoops of the keyboard (minus the images and afew functions) so a engine from it would be easily done just a generic version of CG really. (i'd sell my beautiful custom build 100% Paul Evans mods obviously) Quote
Joshua Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I've looked at over 50 various engines, and while they are all unique in there own way, so far, the one that is easiest to "maneuver around" is McCodes simply because of how it's set-up Even the GRPG engine took me a week or so to figure out how it runs and even still it's a pain in the butt to alter to much right off. But I guess it's just one of those things that take a bit of time, like was invested into McCodes, and as said many times in the past, there are so many of us that know the ins and outs of that engine for someone wanting to learn it, we are here to help. This is something you won't get from other engines as the community is so much smaller. Quote
DylanTimby Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Matter of fact GRPG is shitter than MCC's, not sticking up for MCC's just saying haha, download GRPG, check there security 8o Quote
