Free Host!

Hi acter,

i wouldnt use a free host if i were you but if you cant buy a good host then i suggest you use x10 hosting service------ i use it to practice my coding skillz :)

any questions ask

Posted

have u ever tried x10 hosting service to host mccodes??

i mean do they support it and is it a good one?

and can u guys plz suggest an alternative host as well as when i try to make an account on x10hosting it says "Due to continued abuse from your country of origin we have currently disabled signups. Please try back at a later date."

For best results, pay for a host..

I currently use W3Theory, which offers hosting for as low as $2.99 a month, link is found in my sig.

But near enough every host will support McCodes, as its just basic PHP, and basic MySQL..

can u guys give me the exact name of the free web host other than x10hosting which supports mccodes and on which they work properly without any errors???

this is needed because i tried a couple of hosts and my mccodes do not work properly on them!

have u tried the mccodes on this website???

if yes then give me the link to ur website so that i can check

and btw can u please give me a link of a FREE webhost which supports mccodes???

Oh you want free, sorry, but there all rubbish, if you gonna make an McCodes site, invest some money, for a proper domain, a host, mods and a template. If its just for a learning experience, use a LAMP environment

I have no idea why you're finding hosts that won't run mccodes (except for the obvious of them not having php+mysql installed). As for free hosts there are a fair few that would support mccodes, however crons will not run (well are highly unlikely to), and your site will be rather slow. My advice is get a paid host. There are many links/topics on hosts for mccodes that also have peoples views on the service etc. Use the search bar in the top right. :)

honestly there was no point in triple posting...

As I said free hosts are often slow, and won't allow you to run crons. I don't know of any good ones so I cannot give you links.

As for how to install :-

= lite
= v2 ( I belive there are two on this version just search “mccodes” and you will find them).

ok so everyone i am thinking of buying web hosting at w3theory.com so will it be fine to run mccodes??

and will it allow corn jobs and will it be faster and good enough?

then tell me if i want to use a subdomain instead of purchasing 1 then how will i go about it ??because i issued a ticket and they told me i wont be allowed to use .co.cc subdomains then which ones will work?
