corruptcity || skalman Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 i was reading on the bbc.co.uk news site that there enough new ips in the pool to last another 18 months then its brown pants time after that for every1 so we wont have todo much til then Quote
ColdBlooded Posted May 14, 2010 Author Posted May 14, 2010 Yep, upgrade ipv4 to ipv6. A bit complicated. Just means we have to allocate more space to put IPs in and use more thorough IP equivalency functions than just string comparisons in the MCC sources. This has been noted down for V3 ;) Quote
corruptcity || skalman Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 its gonna be a pain in the ass once we all switched over now soon as we've got more to forget Quote
Spudinski Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I don't see why MCCodes needs to be changed, even if you are using IPv6 protocol. I don't think I will be changing anytime soon, because my DNS server for instance(bind9), won't allow this to me unless I change everything. Quote
Danny696 Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Ive been loking into trying to gind out how to do this, but im not too sure, if anyone knows, please PM me :) Quote
