Re: Bandwidth Issues

make sure the images you use on your site have a low image size, as if there is a high res or number of high res images loading everytime.. it adds up.

if you only just got MC on your system, I'm guessing you don't have alot of users running up your bandwidth so it could be a problem with your hosting package.. again i would suggest switching.

If its gone out the window in about 5 days. try switching hosting, as its only about 2GB's look for something more 20

Re: Bandwidth Issues

Theres 2 things im aware that can have mass effects of load and bandwidth. 1 is the images you use like already said here and the second is by the minority that use mass refreshers. These are in effect cheaters of the game as well as the ones that run your server into the ground after using mass resources. Put some sort of clicks per limit in place to protect from such abuse but as already stated her a new host maybe the only option.

Re: Bandwidth Issues

Im assuming your host is doing 2GB in and out which isnt that much. Id suggest moving to a larger package if your maxing your bandwidth.

Id also investigate to if your site is compressed or not. gzip compression will save a large amount of bandwidth and also make your site faster.

I'm pretty much inclined on this one as well... i've seen traffic on places where there was use of refreshers that simply shoot up bandwidth usage. that combined with an heavy load of graphics on the site... it might just be the problem. Even this might be the problem, check your ftp accounts if there is no one using them either to transfer files or even fxp as it potentially can be also one of the many possible causes

Re: Bandwidth Issues

DO NOT use 000webhost.com to host anything mafia related (MC Codes) - Either theme your game differently, otherwise they ban your account.
