Personally, I think that it is our 'western world' fault when we took away land and created a new country Israel in 1947. As much we all hated the nazi's, none of the western world after WWII wanted jewish people so a new state was created where they all could be. The big problem now is taking sides, taking the side of isreal or palestinans. What if the arab world declares war on Israel. Almost sure US will defend Israel. Europe's stance hopefully neutral. It's the fuse to start a new world war imo. A big problem is that Jewish people control a large part of the money in the world in multiple countries, so western world has some additional presure due to the billions of dollars Jewish people have in several countries as companies etc ... About palestine ... no clue how these people can fight back against a army that is superior, abraham tanks, lynx helicopters, etc ... all they have are their rockets and hand guns ... it's a total imba war which leads to warcrimes by Israel ... and again no clue what the world is able to do against it. In a way it's like history repeats, yesterday a kid was telling that they where grouped with 100 in a house and that israelli forces shoot at them from above. Wheren't those tactics done by Nazi's in WWII ? Leveling , burning to the ground the city , didn't the Nazi's did the same ? From palestinian side, the rockets fired is real terror also , is like the fear there was with the 1st gulf war with the scud rocet attacks from Iraq. anyway lets discuss and see diff povs on this world conflict Quote

Well if nothing happens, it's a fuse for a world war and what you want can sudenly be very close, no need for television it could be at your doorstep so lets see how much 'fun as you claim' it will be. Lets say that UK would give Scotland to the Jewish people to create a new state ... how do you think scottish people would react. I'm not defending Palestinians nor Israeli but leveling gaza to the ground killing as much as possible (especially kids, wasn't Herodes a Jewish king 2000 years ago that killed all first born males) isn't a sollution, is a pure war crime. Isn't much different with the genocides that happend at congo and iraq. My opinion is that 'we' the Western world created this mess and that it's way to late now to find a peacefull sollution, 60 years of never ending conflicts ... Even Hebron who isn't at Gaza... 400 Jewish people live there between 16k Palestinians, a minority but protected by 2000 Israeli soldiers. Crimes/Racist ones done by the Jewish people at Hebron aren't punished ... It's like they always put fuel on the fire If they would leave the palestines alone in the lil bit of land that is left for them with NO economic value could have stopped the conflicts maybe .... but sending colonists to palistinian cities and overwhelming military force is just ... like said above ... putting fuel on the fire Quote

All of us know that there are no chance of palestine winning as jews have more weapons etc. If this leads to a big war it wouldn't be fair on the palestinians. (UK), Although all the innocent deaths are tragic and rather upsetting thier is not alot we can do as a nation apart from go into world war 3, which would not be able to happen as a nuke would end it all. As i say though it's not our country keep our people out and save our own. I mainly say this due to the many soldiers dying and i think it is not right our soldiers are being killed in anothers fight, maybe send them aid and other things to help but do not put our soldiers life's at jepordy. First off good topic MD and props to all the replies, I've been on adult forums sites that have alot less meaningful topics than this. First of lets start by giving everyone a short history lesson. No I'm not going to type it out as you can see the following short vid. Its historically accurate. That said I'll provide some background about myself. I went to school to teach history before I was sidetracked, so I will verify the contents of the video. I also was born in Germany in 1977 to parents who were stationed there during their time in the United States Air Force. This needs to be expanded actually to make things more clear to everyone. England actually controlled the areas where Israel and Palestine are located now, the issue was after ww2 what did England do with all the liberated Jews. This prompted the newly formed UN and England to set aside lands for the new Israeli state. Lands England controlled. Now I would like to clear up another statement or rather add to it. "What if the Arab world declares war on Israel" The all did it was called the 6 day war, Israel kicked ass and actually gained more land than was given to them. Syria took the West Bank and Egypt took Gaza. The pressure you speak of in terms of money is not the the real issue why countries back Israeli, sure its a part of it but its the fact that they are the only true Democratic country in the area. As far as Palestine goes, they do harbor terrorist that do fire rockets into Israel, this has been a fact for years. What would you do if your neighbors took pot shots at your house every day? Wouldn't you want to defend your home and family? Its sad that some people have to suffer for others but the people of Palestine choose this when they voted for Hammas to lead their people. Hammas is not for the people they are terrorists. People say people in Gaza are starving, why does Hammas not smuggle in food rather than weapons? Majorly due to the media around the world. And like said the majority of the world will unwilingly side with the palestines in this conflict. And that's the fault of Israel by not allowing any press since 2 months into Gaza. Hezbolah where until they got also a seat at lebanon so they aren't called anymore terrorists worldwide ... As you say Hammas are terrorists, in a way yes they are as they terrorize israelis for several years by firing rockets to innocent people. Now I have several jewish friends, practisising and not and we talked about this conflict. They are all shred up what to say... some support the war on gaza others condemn the war on gaza. Our tiny country is also in a conflict with this war ... * Antwerp , special intervention teams are all around the city where Jewish diamond shops and quarters are to protect them... so in a way a siege kinda ... * Belgium is the 5th biggest weapon distributor to Israel Political/economic wise the gov is in a struggle as the Belgian Jewish Community created 1000s of jobs, pays a nice chunk of taxes, made Antwerp the diamond city in the world, and keeps our weapon factories healthy .... as country we can't turn our back to the Jewish community here. Anyway, could there be a peacefull sollution for the conflict ... I really doubt it ... if it was possible it would have happend 60 years ago ... Quote
