A successful game never starts with "jail, login, admin staff, security, etc." A successful game start with the USER. Finding the user needs and creating the CONTEXT of a web game based on the user needs. The reason I would make a WEB game, is that it's independent of platform and cheap vs games ( native applications ) that are more time consuming and money . A successful game starts when your asking the right questions, and continuing with planning, the global population it's over 6 Billion peoples, meaning different cultures, different languages, different perspective. Finding and targeting a large piece of pie from this billion will cost you a good plan. Internet owns 7% of market. Meaning $70 billion per year. You might get 0.001% from it but if have A good marketing plan you might get 1% of this share. Doing the same thing that others did you'll get the same result or less. To me owning a game sounds strange. But I'm sure, definitely sure! That it starts with the user. so 1. Marketing Research. 2. A little "neuro linguistic programing" documentation can help ( for developing a successful copyright ) 3. Planning 4. Information Architecture ( sketch's, maps, wireframes, prototypes ) 5. Developing, Adaption and Testing 6. Making money 7. Updating Usability, Accessibility, Interactivity and user experience are the keys to owning! frag frag away.

if you used style-sheet find the element that has the property "background (-color): #fff (fff)..."; check it, then check the selector that wears the property, change #FFFFFF to #900 save then refresh. If you don't use style-sheets, then start with the first file you include e.g header.php , and try to find WHITE or #FFFFF style declaration ( like: bgcolor=white or bgcolor=#fffff ) then go to the next etc . Lol, that's 3D modeling + photoshop, same for ikariam. Step 1. get Blender http://www.blender.org/, it's free for commercial use, easy to handle and low resource cost for rendering. Step 2. Blender.org has a lot of video tutorials to get started with. Step 3. Gimp shop ( similar to photoshop ) but it's commercial free. Step 4. Swish-Max for easy animation Voile ! Wanna be a pro ? Get 3D Studio Max or Cinema4D, photoshop, then after effects, then flash. Wanna be a uberpro ? F**k the programs get O Reilly's books, learn like a maniac, make the game, then submit your CV + game to EA/BLizzard/Ubi etc... :) my opinion

Security is mainly for cheaters. Theres always a way to do damage no matter how high the security is. But then your not a gamer. I have to admit finding a bug and exploit-it is a part of the puzzle game quest :)). Love to get on top fast ... but then everything gets boring.

from a players view:   A good background story. A high user experience ( GUI ). Maximum interactivity. Ranking pvp / teem pvp Quest/Scores Hidden tricks / secrets Puzzle type quest involved. etc... Low resource cost and fast loading. Unique Idea, simple clean interfaces.

Starting with the greetings ending with the critics. Hello, and congratulation for release. As you mention the game is 30% done so there's no point for writing a review on it. Critics. You have Yes and No buttons on the front page, near login. What's up with those ? Your welcome page looks OK, but the ads from the button and the top text "free2play" kind ruins it. If your purpose is to make users click the ads and leave your website. You succeed on it! But I guess this is not your purpose. Moving on, the Register page, and login forms definitely need a style, ( align, focus, tab-order, access keys, ... ). Less glittering and eye catch effects can give a more realistic or "drama" for the story. The Intro movie is grate, but it gets kinda boring after 1 min, having the same song ... Doesn't put me in the mood of playing the game. Avoid using the target="_Blank" on your link, in the first minute I had like 8 tabs open. After register : a big bump You website lacks of compatibility. In Firefox , Safari and IE 8, didn't test it in chrome. Nice, I just brought a domian and a hosting the other day. If I knew you can offer hosting with those prices :) I would be happier. things you may consider in the future. Can you offer 24/7 support ? How can I purchase a package ? Where is the delivery and payment info ? Where is the server info ? is it Linux or Windows, location ? Do you offer auto backup? How can I register a domain ? Most important can you automate the billing process? Don't let things get in your way, such as people. The way I see it, sooner or latter your gonna become a good entrepreneur. Running and rolling your own business.

Msql performance drops down when you start to delete rows and not doing the optimize query after that. Also drops when you start using multiple db connectors ( open -> query -> close or reuse ) If you know the number of results ex. (10 rows, add the Limit 0,10 or, if you query for a login LIMIT 0,1 ) this way if have 10000 users, no point to query all. ... probably theres more. I don't think the number of rows influence much. halo! well... I'm new to this friendly community so I should stick my profile here. I'm 22 years old. It's fairly obvious that most of my time is spent in front of a computer screen. Fortunately, I really enjoy working on any sort of multimedia project. My main focus is a sort of hybrid 3D, Flash animation and recently Programing. I am really interested in anything involving gaming, user experience and money of-course. I have worked with several development teams in the past and am open to doing so again. I enjoy working on teams and alone. Right now, I'm a web web developer at a small web studio in Galati, also I run my own business as a freelance web Dev. it's difficult for me to keep a competitive edge with work alone, so I always set aside some time for experimentation and learning ( the reason why I landed here ).
