I want to know do the mainmenu need to be their in the html the links are home,item,explore and newspaper,forum and logout.(Im trying to say do i need the menu links in the html or do I need to code them in)

Im not sure as their an menu .php file im not sure how I would i connect the menu.php to the html.

Edit: PHP part is never going to show on a source code, that is hidden from everyone but the one whom added it... It is not hard to convert php into this use your brain if you have one. If your using firefox it can be done, and images can be gotten by the view page info after right clicking then under media.

i do need the crons but the install file doesnt work at all so how can i get them?

I may be wrong as to i have not use mccodes in a long time, but if i remember correctly the CODE part was rand such as rand(1,100000000000)

so I doubt you would really need the Code end unless you want to use it, then modify it in config.php add any code between 1 and 100000000000.

To be honest it's been sitting at 88% since I signed up a couple months ago, and you now say it's in Alpha stages how long does these Beta, Alpha stages last for??

I don't see why you need $5k - Your game already has a layout and template, but yet you are looking for a designer to design another one, when you yet even released your game to the public not even in beta or alpha I signed up, but was not able to login that was a couple months ago, it said the admin has to send login when nothing yet has hit my email box from your game.

So how do you get your beta,alpha testers if you have blocked your login??? Also why can't you provide us a demo, if your a developer like you say you would know how to set one up...

Anyhow good luck but I don't see anyone donating when you have not provided the full details, which is leaving the people viewing your donation page in suspense in thinking its a scam.

Yep, exactly what it says... permission is not given for you to view it, which is permission set in the FTP (chmod). Is this on your host or someone elses? If it's your hosting then go into your FTP and change the permission to 644. If it's not then you can't do anything.

So here is my two cents - Traffic, the more traffic you have the more popular your game becomes, and the more cash flow comes.

-Up to the owner- The owner is the main key to any successful game/website what he/she does with the coding is what makes the traffic come in, if less effort is shown the less successful you are, if you are putting in a lot of effort and updating it periodically for your users the more success you'll see.

Cons

-Profit, does not always mean it is successful. Unless you have EVERY player donating or if you have over 70% donating.

-Duration, just because you have your domain and game up for 10 years does not mean you are successful, I have seen games up for a long time and barely hanging on.

I think over all the more traffic you have the more success you see, and the traffic is up to you to decide, because you are drawing that traffic in by your designs, and programming.

I've seen somewhat similar game like this. What you need to be asking is, what is going to make your game different then prior games with the same approach, what are you going to do differently to bring players to your game. The look/design looks ok, however there are already a few out there like it.

Your best option is to make an engine from scratch, that's in a central location. From there, you modify outwards each module for each world. Now having the engine centralized, you can access it from any of those worlds.

Just my point of view, similar to an API system.

This is exactly what I have been doing,making my own engine/game.

Because why pay for numerous mccode licenses? If you know the basics of how an engine is ran you can easily make your own. I would never use mccodes for a game, it's a good starting engine to toy around with,but that is it, I would not use it, too many people do, and there are very few successful ones out there.

Some of the coding can be made shorter then how mccodes is setup, by using the basics of php.

When you have your own engine you have an advantage to it, by knowing the coding better, and if you hire someone to help you code it can be easily explained to them. It may take you longer coding an engine/game but in the end it pays off.

One example of when such a brand rip game gets sanctions is "School of wizardry", a Facebook game. It was an alright game, but a crazily blatant rip of Harry Potter, about as blatant as one could be without having Harry Potter in the title.

Eventually, they had to completely rework the artwork & names used in the game. Now they appear to be gone for good.

So yes, you can definitely get into trouble for doing this!

I know you can get into trouble also with domain names too, such as if someone was to make a domain as nikeair.com knowing Nike is a shoe brand, and nike air is a product name, it would be copyright and trademark infringement

How is these websites though adding name brands and trademarks to their website and not getting caught, is beyond me.

Another question I had, what if a user is using images of such? Is it still a copyright infringement... Because users use these in their sigs, and display pic also in userbars.

Most sites list in their terms who can use their logo, or stock photos, but nothing is stated about a game using them for an item, of no profit.

You see these photos on Amazon,ebay, and personal sites, even free stock images sites. So it really kind of confuses me. Even on games on facebook uses name brands and trademarks of companies.

I do not know if anyone ever looked into it I can't find much but what i have researched....

You will not get players if you do not make it a game, if your careless- so will your users be careless not to play. Where's the effort in this? I know you just started, but you should not put your game out until you have it finished. And when it is actually a game and not an mccode engine.

What am trying to do is code a item function in my gym, basically i have energy potions in my game now what i want to do is select from the inventory the item id from inventory and if you have that item in your inventory you have option in the gym to use it instead of having to go back to inventory and having to keep on using and repeating as it a very long process.

Re-read the error...Call to undefined function mkglobal() meaning a function name mkglobal() is in your script being used, but there is no such function.

example such as echo mkglobal($r[username']);

and in your function script there is no function made of mkglobal() look into your global_func.php and make sure you have that function in there. You may have forgot to add it.

illegal or not mccodes were stolen in the first place, just saying, i have heard stories behind the original owner and code, but would not argue the matter on here. Everyone is so big on the license and the illegal copy, but none stops to wonder who originally coded the mccode engine to begin with. To me how can you use a illegal copy and a legal copy when BOTH are illegal in the first place.
