bineye
How legal is all of this? A few lines intrigue me.. TSO Restoration is a non-profit organization which is restoring and recreating The Sims Online (which was shut down in 2008). We also need talented reverse engineers/packet decryptors to help us reverse engineer file formats and packets which the game uses. On another forum from which I am a member, a guy was a reverse engineer on a game (released commercially 2001, released for free download 2009), and he was very cautious about it all. He was from Sweden and the Law there states that reverse engineering can only be used for bug fixes, improvements and cannot be used to gain any profit, and that is seen as the most "relaxed" Law of all countries. And was your website closed down in 2008 for legal reasons too?
