Security -> computers & laptops.

This world is advancing, at a extremeley fast pace and as economical issues hit the planet even more people are unable to buy things therefore going for illegal and forged ideas. These forged ideas are mostly stolen from sites and normal computers by people you talk to everyday. If they know how to do it they can send a trojan to your computer therefore giving them the ability to contorl your mouse, look at your files, break you whole pc or laptop and much more. There are very known programs, which people buy such as Norton360 and there are some free security programs out there aswell however even though i have purchased Norton360 i found out i am still vulnerable to attacks. I do not want people to have the ability to tamper with my files and do whatever they wish and i'm sure most of the other people out there would not like other people to have the ability to do what they wish with someone elses computer. One experience i have had is, i went to the shop i bought my new laptop from and i said " I have bought your laptop and they offered me a Norton360 to prevent my laptop from being so vulnerable to attacks and having pop ups " they replied to me with : " Norton360 should block most of the pop ups that are sent from most browsers. I have tried most of the things and i'm sure many people will be experiencing the same problem with having pop ups coming on your screen from time and time again and i'm sure it is annoying. There are some things which you can do to prevent pop ups on Mozila firefox which are the following : Go to tools, options and content and tick block pop up windows -> second thing which you can do is download Adblock plus because that is a program which can help you in your quest to block most of the pop ups that pop up when your browsing the web. One more tip is -> Mozila firefox has been stated to be a secure and efficent browser so instead of Internet Explorer i suggest you use Mozila firefox or Opera browser whichever fits your needs. Now going back to the point i stated earlier, many people are currently not fit economically to go buy paid security programs such as Norton360 so one word of advice instead of using the illegal way and downloading cracked security programs search on Google for AVG Official Download this will help in securing your computer from hackers and it is free and not a illegal software so you will not be going down the wrong track. There are lot's of Add-ons being released for Mozila firefox browser to ensure that you have a seucre and safe browsing experience on the web so i suggest that if you are not currently using Mozila Firefox then switch to it immediatley. I understand the fact that Internet Explorer is wideley used around the internet and one could debate which one is more secure but that all depends on opinions so i suggest you try out both and map you security experience with both compare and contrats and come to a final result. If any other people any other programs & softwares they use to keep there laptop secure from hackers please post here to help other people and let's make sure everyone has a bigger and better chance to be safe when browsing the web. Help each other - let's bring ourselves closer to sucess.

Hope Makewebgames helps me and all of us in our quests to secure ourselves whilst browsing the web.

Best Regards - Redex.

Personally I use Avast, Comodo Internet Security and CCleaner.

As browsers, I use Opera primarily, with Chrome as backup and Firefox for those sites that are not compatible with Opera or Chrome.

I like Opera, the only problem i have with Opera is, that sometimes when i left click it comes up as right click, sometimes it is too slow and dosen't go on pages :(

Well, I found when using AVG was that a lot of my computers resources were being taken up and so I then moved to ESET NOD32 -- offers high security to either business level or just home level and also I found barely takes up any of my computers resources.. So program wise, I use NOD32 Anti-virus, Firefox, CCleaner and general common sense to maintain my system(s).

Doesn't take a lot to stay safe on the internet, just think of the possible outcomes which could happen say if you downloaded 'cracked software'.. some people aren't always so nice so they might post worm viruses instead of the application you want.. and then you're bummed for a bit lol.

Linux! :P still vulnerable, but way less then the windows machines

On windows machines I use: Common sense + Firefox + Bullguar/ Nod32 SS--> never had troubles yet after 3 years, nod32 really has my preference, soo customizable for your whole network and yet it has a very light resource usage.
