jpoke5 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Hello all, total noob at this and trying to setup my first game site. I got my script of torn city from a site on the net from ravans mmorpg scripts. after searching it looks like this my be a revised mmcodes script but not sure. the version is listed as ravans mmorpg 1.2.01 (Build: 1201) That said... im looking for some sort of manual that explains how to setup the basic items and other options for basic game play. I need to know what is the minimum amount of items, houses, shops, jobs, etc.... with proper affects settings to get my game setup for users to start playing and then i will add more items etc later on. I did download the mccodes free lite version but dont see any info about basic items setup and affects settings. I checked this forum for that info but what i found was not very detailed. The mccode forums are also down?? Any info or links to a game items setup manual would be great. Thanks for the help!! P.s Can i use the posted mccode v1 mods on this forum with the script i have???? jeff Quote
mdshare Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Re: total noob looking for basic setup of items/options/affects manual P.s Can i use the posted mccode v1 mods on this forum with the script i have???? jeff That raven script is just a refurbished mccode script afaik so all or most scripts you find in this forum should work with or without lil alteration. In a way they are pirating/thieving on the mccode game engine as each should get a mccode license. Now about a manual, there is none. Best is to start understanding how data is stored/retrieved (mysql) and while you are there go to tigzag to learn some basic php/html/css. Quote

Joel Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Re: total noob looking for basic setup of items/options/affects manual They should take mccodes down to $15 then they should get more buyers, who the hell is going to pay $300 for V2 when its all over the internet. *terrible* Quote
Dylan Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Re: total noob looking for basic setup of items/options/affects manual Well I think Mccodes is worth $100 when I first purchased it and took a look at it I was like, wow your sheeting me! I paid $300 for this, then later on I find out you can get a free version or a $15 version. Well atleast I know one thing, it was a lesson well learned! But in the long run it was well worth it. Hey, Nyna first of all, I don't need your stupid comments on my post. FYI i purchased this code way before i even known about mccodes. The only way i found out about having a revised mccode script was from searching around the net then finding this forum after i already bought it. and 2nd...KMA Quote
