BlueDevil23 Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Re: [mccode v2] Annoucements Upgrade! Just started getting this error this morning: You're unable to view this code. Viewing code within this forum requires registration, you can register here for free. Just noticed you can't put a % in the announcement. Sorry, would of helped you earlier xD, but just saw your post, when re-reading through this thread. You can, you just have to escape it with another %. ie: %%100 Quote

Monkeh Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Re: [mccode v2] Annoucements Upgrade! Nice modification, seems like someone would of charged for it, so basically we get a quality product for free. :-D Just one question... programming wise is there a difference/advantage on which to use, because there seems to be many announcement modifications out there. Well, anything made by Karlos, just grab whilst you can and Haunted Dawg. These 'mods' are secure and best to have on your site. Script kiddies are always lurking and tend to target small Mccode games. Quote

Karlos Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 Re: [mccode v2] Annoucements Upgrade! For what part of the mod exactly? Quote
Voice4Vision Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Re: [mccode v2] Annoucements Upgrade! I need idea's to make this more advanced. :-( Any one got any? Ideas? I got a few. 1) Color Coded Announcements - Allow establishing different colors according to urgency. 2) Force Players to Read and Agree - Allow admins to lock down playing if announcement requires reading and agreement. This could benefit for sites that produce rules changes, TOS changes, etc. This is an optional feature on a per message basis. 3) Open / Close feature, with a New / Read message - Aides in helping viewers keep track of what messages they have read. Collapsible Messages would certainly look nice. Thats just a few idea's, if more come up while I am still modifying my site, I will certainly post them for you! Voice4Vision Quote
