  3. Accept c/c Payments without Paypal a part of payment methods I will use on CT is Paypal [direct funding only no c/c] Alertpay [c/c payments] And yes they seem to be reliable and are know at the BBB offices as so.
  4. Accept c/c Payments without Paypal it's an IPN system just like paypal, has some more options available as notification methods. Just received a new info mail from Alertpay also.
  5. TC Rips exactly, Scarlet can say it so much better than I can I understand your post very good, Silver. Also, a lot of people are complaining about the hundreds of mccode as they think they will see less revenue, even you think 'if there would be less games I would make more money', that's why I added that Time magazine article.
  6. TC Rips A part of an article in 2001 in the magazine Time Datamonitor predicts there will be 5.1 million online gamers in Europe. The U.S. will have about double that figure, generating global revenues of about 1.4 billion dollars from subscription charges, advertising and e-commerce. The Web offers lots of advantages over playing solitaire. The global nature of the network means that even at 3 a.m., there will always be players available online. Social interaction is a big draw since online games allow players to be a part of virtual communities, meeting new people and chatting with opponents before, during and after a match.   Note: This is from 2001 ! so in 2001 they where already talking about 15 million people playing online games.
  7. TC Rips if you go to the semi text/graphics games the numbers are even more impressive. 3-5 million players a game. And then the fully blown mmorpg's, they all hold like a min of 5 million players. The cake is def big enough for everyone, no jealousy needed.
  8. TC Rips The cake is more than big enough you all focus on some games you think are BIG well they are actually peanuts. 100k players is NOTHING there are plenty of TEXT based games with over a million players, so the cake is more than big enough to devide. It's all up to the game owner how originall he is and how he markets his game to the cyber world. Thieving ideas or using the same mods as other games doesn't make you originall but it could be that your game is more succesfull than another. It's the game owner that chooses that direction, being lazy and just seeing the game as a short term money maker and not wanting to invest is wrong.
  9. Accept c/c Payments without Paypal I've mailed them about using alertpay with a game and about having the possibility of using subscriptions. According their Terms, mccode games can use Alertpay.

  11. Accept c/c Payments without Paypal That's the best part
  12. User Notepad lol Tunk yeah longtext allows 4Gb to store
  13. Offering multiple payment options to your client's could increase your sales, and for those that don't trust paypal c/c payments maybe the above is a solution. They are BBB aproved, which is a big + http://www.bbbonline.org/cks.asp?id=10508221550 http://www.bbb-bec.com/main.cfm?p=421&l ... 855&page=1
  14. Jail break mods are usually very basic so it leaves it open for others to improve and alter it. Nice job dlion98
  15. Jail break off topic mccode full version can be bought at www.mccodes.com
  16. Developing locally on your own local PHP/MySQL/Apache server what I personally like is that you can switch with 1 click to a diff php version. So if you code in php5 you can test your script if it will run under php4
  17. Developing locally on your own local PHP/MySQL/Apache server you can ad extra's and php libraries just like on a real server, don't forget to edit the php.ini but honestly I never used crons with it, just for testing localy before uploadin as I hate online editing of scripts.
  18. Refilling Bars This post could be helpfull have a look http://www.criminalexistence.com/viewtopic.php?t=938
  19. Refilling Bars What exactly is the problem ?
  20. Developing Mods locally on your own local PHP/MySQL/Apache server Its easier than you might think! I setup a dedicated local server once to let me do this but it turns out there is an even faster easier way to do it . http://www.wampserver.com wampserver is a complete software package allowing to use all the power and the flexibility that offers the dynamic language PHP and the effecient use of databases under Windows. Package includes an Apache server, a MySQL database, a fully PHP execution, as well as easy development tools for your web site or your applications. Best part - its a one click install on your local system no need anymore to upload your scripts to a server, you can test them on your own PC. And don't be afraid to experiment with php it's a very easy language to learn As php/htm/whatever language editor I use Crimson Editor which is also free available at http://www.crimsoneditor.com/ md
  21. Side Bars some hosting companies do not allow crons as they use a lot of server services. In other words your host can put less 'lag free" sites on a shared server, so less revenue for them if they would allow it or they have to increase the price and put less sites on a shared server.
