  1. Great stuff best of luck to your project
  2. This thread on here http://makewebgames.io/forum/general-development-central/general/17461-advert-experiences-and-feeback was pretty good for paid networks but where do you guys normally get most of your traffic from? Do you focus on a particular stream, like getting your site on game lists and directories, or are your members from a mix of google traffic and word of mouth and paid ads?
  3. The experience you described isn't analogous to crashing a game.
  4. I'm sorry, are you being sarcastic?
  5. 4 weeks.
  6. Yeah but he refers to Mccodes
  7. Interesting discussion here. To clarify I am only using it for game content like item statistics and other non-varying numbers to save myself from writing SQL queries. I haven't thought about the staff issue - I wouldn't expect to change the hard coded data unless I am balancing the game anyway. I am not familiar with caching. Is this a relatively simple thing to implement? Thanks
  8. I have no idea what I am doing here. Let me know if this looks all right to you:
  9. I prefer to use include('file.php'); for storing game data (predominantly item stats) in arrays as it is easier to manage than SQL tables. Anybody know if there's a performance difference with using this compared to storing it in SQL? Would it be a problem having a file with hundreds of assigned variables/arrays included on all your pages?
  10. In case you are unaware, there is some feedback here from certain advertising experiences: http://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/36153-Advert-experiences-and-feeback
  11. I see a lot of photoshop tutorials for very elaborate fantasy paintings that are beyond my scope. I just need some pointers on how to draw things like chain mail and plate mail and then i can work from there. I'm guessing I should draw outlines by pencil, then brush over with silvery grey paint. Then do dark tones and highlights. After that I have no idea.
  12. We need a more robust sign up. Meanwhile gotta keep reporting these 'people'
  13. Yeah in my case I don't think I have friends who are free on demand.
  14. I'm presuming we are talking about friends helping you out here? Is there a possibly you could hire a contractor to look after it?
  15. Do you easily find reliable players who volunteer to admin your game? What about technical stuff - let's say you're on holiday and your site is screwed up, what mitigation or back up plan do you have?
