yes , if they fix it for me i will enjoy it , but if they replace it then i will sell it .

if they find out that it was flashed , which i doubt because i have only flashed recovery and rooted it , ( the rom is original ) then they will charge and get it fixed , if they dont find out they will do it for free thinking that it was all kies fault and thats why they should fix it . also my m8 had a htc hd2 custom rom 2.3 and rooted and the touchscreen stopped working , sent it into htc and came back some days ago replaced screen and facsia for free . all they did was put it back to windows os.

so what your trying to say is , its best that i give it in to samsung service centre rather than buy a jig , as if i buy a jig it wont do anything, but what i dont understand i , i only flashed the wrong recovery on this device and i doubt the recovery file is the same file that is the power controls . i never would have thought that changing a recovery of a phone would brick it.

runthis , as soon as my phone boots in downloading mode , i believe what i need to do i using odin flash the clockwork recovery to the right one , and flash the kernal (brain) to the right one and flash the rom back to 2.2 froyo . that should get it started . but the damn phone wont start up......

i think that samsung would have to change the whole motherboard of my device to get it started . they might buy into my story as it has happened to many people and kies ( the samsung update installer) isnt a very smart piece of software as quite a few times it stops responding , closes down , doesnt detect the device etc... , so i think they might buy it , and if they do then they shoud either repair or replace my phone . IF NOT , ILL JUST HAVE TO TRY THE ----JIG------ .

dave , but i dont think it would work on a completly bricked device. what phone where you using , and would it turn on atleast to the logo screen?

oh i think you mean a jig dave , if the service centre wont help , i will certainly buy a jig ant try to boot my phone up in download mode , because when thats done i can flash a proper clockwork recovery and 2.2 back onto my phone.

yes but what if they dont find out , i will try send it into repair tommorow , i will blame it on kies and say that i was updating to 2.2 but then my laptop ran out of power more than half way through or i accidentaly pulled out the usb and then i took the battery out and left it for 5 mins and put it back in and now there is no response from my phone.

lithium the rom is original , 2.2 froyo from kies , but it has been rooted and clockwork recovery added instead of the samsung one.

its not about the rooting , i think its about rom manager and because when i tried to flash clockwork recovery to install roms it didnt show my phone model so i clicked on a random phone and now my phone wont start up at all , no signs of life. i used universal and root

nothing when i put the cord on the phone , then slide the battery in place .

will they be able to find out i tried to add a rom to the phone?
