Thank you very much for the detailed response. As I sure don't have 5-10 years (much less $500k...) I should look for an option other than a full rpg that can be delivered within 6 months. I asked a company and they told me the budget for an rpg is $6k+

Hello,   I am an independent comics publisher and I will publish my first project this year. I wish for marketing reasons to make a browser rpg set in the world of the comic.   Therefore I am looking for a development company to undertake the project.   A few questions I have are:   What is the spectrum of a 2D RPG budget? Of the budget how much of it is the art's percentage? What is the time frame?
