Re: MCCode V2 Problems. There is a function item_remove() that is being declared in both the itemmarket file and the global_function.php file. A function can only be declared once, otherwise the program cannot determine which one to use. It may not be the best solution (I wasn't as familiar with PHP as I am now), but here's what I did. I did a search/replace on item_remove() and replaced with item_removal(). Come to think of it, I'm fairly confident it wasn't the best solution but it is a solution nonetheless, and Im sure it will be sufficient.

Re: level help You've confised me. How do you set the exp low in the SQL? When you say click around...do you mean every time they click on a game link or what? so one minute they will have 14% experience, they will click on Jobs, and then they'll have 500% exp out of nowhere?

Re: Lite vs Version 2 I think I've explained myself already. The built in features easily saved me $300 worth of time that I was able to spend writing new mods instead of fussing around with adding the junk mods posted here. Half of them, from what I read, dont even work. Not to mention, a lot of the basic mods can't even be found. I guess it depends on how much you value your time. It doesnt take a lot of my time, personally, to justify $300. The mods I developed in the time it would have taken to get where 2.0 started me out, are worth well over $300. Hell, I'd even pay $300 just to avoid asking stupid questions 10 times a day in these forums. Not to mention, it didnt take long at all to recoop the costs when my game went live.

Re: Lite vs Version 2 I bought 2.0 right off the bat. I wouldnt do it any other way. The $300 saved me a LOT of time and I was able to use that time to develop new mods myself that were unique.

Re: Anyone who can code and has money for a good server want to start a game? I can't count the hundreds of hours I've put into my game. Not only did I spend every hour of my freetime for two months coding just to get the game setup, I'm online over 12 hours a day keeping an eye on it now that it is open. If you want to throw some carbon-copy junk out there, sure you can go online in about a week. But if you actually want a game people are going to play, you've really got to have some skillz and dedication.

Re: A question to sort out all the arguments over coding copyright..... It's just the corrupt few you have to worry about. I personally wouldn't steal and/or resell code without permission, I know the work involved in creating things from scratch. But unfortunately, not everyone has such ethics.

Re: TC Rips It's a bear. I can't even count the hours I've spent over the last two months working on my game. I'm fortunate enough to have programming experience too. Even now with the game open, my to-do list is crazy. Aint going to get rich anytime soon. Keeping up with players is a full time job, and then when you add game development to that, it's crazy.
