INfact I'm doing all this on notepad xD I'm also still learning PHP, started just a few days ago... Would it effect the script if I use mysql_query / $db->query ? Thanks in advance

Re: Hacker Yss his name is Kevin, not Fahim Miah And I know Kevin He's some guy I had to deal with about a year ago, he's alright once you get to know him. Anyways, stop being a jerk I've talked to him right now, and he left a warning on your staff notepad, written from your user account. I blame YOU for not checking your notepad when you were clearly online, so were other staff! Kevin doesn't go around harming, without a warning, and by the looks of it, he has given a warning. And also, it wasn't via the forums. He has no damn idea how to get through to it by the forum, he uses 'other' methods. Anyways, nice to see your all back up and running.

Well how would I enable the script to run both v1 & v2? Something like: <?php session_start(); require "global_func.php"; if($_SESSION['loggedin']==0) { header("Location: login.php");exit; } $userid=$_SESSION['userid']; require "header.php"; $h = new headers; $h->startheaders(); include "mysql.php"; global $c; $is=mysql_query("SELECT u.*,us.* FROM users u LEFT JOIN userstats us ON u.userid=us.userid WHERE u.userid=$userid",$c) or die(mysql_error()); $ir=mysql_fetch_array($is); check_level(); $fm=money_formatter($ir['money']); $cm=money_formatter($ir['crystals'],''); $lv=date('F j, Y, g:i a',$ir['laston']); $h->userdata($ir,$lv,$fm,$cm); $h->menuarea(); { else } include "globals.php"; [rest of script] ?> Something like that?

Re: I Nedd a coder Hanif: Welcome to the Dragons Den. Please introduce yourself. Hanif: Um, ok. Thank you. Narrator: [[ The dragons write down their bulship ]] Hanif: OK, wilkesy. I'll put a straight offer up to you, I'll code a third the site for 35%, and it will be top notch quality. Poofter: I'll go with Hanif I'll do another third of the site for 35% Hoe: Hey! Stop there. Me too! I'll do the rest for 35% Hanif: You can't! Narrator: What an amazing offer. IN total, Wilkesy has gone with a deal of his site coded by 3 amazing coders for only....105% of his profits! Viewers: What a n0b Sorry Wilkesy, I doubt it'll happen. And above, it's not an offence towards you.

In this topic, I shall just be covering something simple which should help you boost your knowledge. A good way to get familiar with operators is to use them to perform arithmetic operations on variables, as in the following example: <html> <head> </head> <body> <?php // set quantity $quantity = 1000; // set original and current unit price $origPrice = 100; $currPrice = 25; // calculate difference in price $diffPrice = $currPrice - $origPrice; // calculate percentage change in price $diffPricePercent = (($currPrice - $origPrice) * 100)/$origPrice ?> <table border="1" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0"> <tr> <td>Quantity</td> <td>Cost price</td> <td>Current price</td> <td>Absolute change in price</td> <td>Percent change in price</td> </tr> <tr> <td><?php echo $quantity ?></td> <td><?php echo $origPrice ?></td> <td><?php echo $currPrice ?></td> <td><?php echo $diffPrice ?></td> <td><?php echo $diffPricePercent ?>%</td> </tr> </table> </body> </html> Looks complex? Don't be afraid - it's actually pretty simple. The meat of the script is at the top, where I've set up variables for the unit cost and the quantity. Next, I've performed a bunch of calculations using PHP's various mathematical operators, and stored the results of those calculations in different variables. The rest of the script is related to the display of the resulting calculations in a neat table. If you'd like, you can even perform an arithmetic operation simultaneously with an assignment, by using the two operators together. The two code snippets below are equivalent: <?php // this... $a = 5; $a = $a + 10; // ... is the same as this $a = 5; $a += 10; ?> If you don't believe me, try echoing them both. Enjoy [Thanks Vaswani]

Hey guys. In this topic I shall be explaining my idea of us as a group learning PHP. I have come up with an idea. I have seen many, many members, within this community, creating sites. A majority are very young. In our lives we see many people excelling in life, and we just wish we could be like them. Well, why not. PHP is a big hit, infact you may not be aware of just how powerful the language is, and how much it can do for you. Today, PHP has the enviable position of being the only open-source server-side scripting language that's both fun and easy to learn. This is not just advertising: recent surveys show that more than 16,000,000 Web sites use PHP as a server side scripting language, and the language also tops the list of most popular Apache modules. It's powerful, it's easy to use, and it's free. Extremely robust and scalable, PHP can be used for the most demanding of applications, and delivers excellent performance even at high loads. Built-in database support means that you can begin creating data-driven applications immediately, XML support makes it suitable for the new generation of XML-enabled applications, and the extensible architecture makes it easy for developers to use it as a framework to build their own custom modules. Toss in a great manual, a knowledgeable developer community and a really low price (can you spell f-r-e-e?) and you've got the makings of a winner! My goal in this session: gather a group of us within the community, so we can go through PHP together. We shall start right form the beginning. We'll be going the basics of using PHP, and showing you why I think it's the best possible tool for Web application development today. I'll be making no assumptions about your level of knowledge, other than that you can understand basic HTML and have a sense of humor. And before you ask... Yes, this series covers both PHP 4 and PHP 5, with new PHP 5 features flagged for easy reference. You may ask your selves why I am doing this? Answer: I am tired of seeing people within this community, doing bullShip. You create sites which get...nowhere. You end up closing them, so why not take your time and learn PHP?. Everyone who is willing to learn or support me in this course, please post in this thread. Ones who are willing to support, please input supporter in the subject field when posting, and those willing to learn, please input learn into the subject field when posting. Thanks for reading and an advanced thanks to those who are willing to join me. PS. All of this will be held in a chatroom, however if you have better ideas please post in. Cheers & Taa Max number of people: 19

Re: MCCODESV2 io have an error Thing is...he hasnt paid $300 for version of of McCodes.. And I'm 60% sure that you havn't either... McCodes is out there, for free PHP, is OPEN-SOURCE... SHould've thought of a license - program on the script...maybe then the script wouldn't have been so open to everyone. He only asked for help, not a load of spunk in his face :roll: And to GoldenMember, from what I see, its the directory /home/mccodes/public_html/class/class_db_mysql.php... It should say in the instruction manual to chmd it..or something I havn't used McCodes for a while and have laid of PHP for sometime which has resulted in me forgetting a load of useful cr*p :? Try chmd-ing the files...should work...
