legrolls Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Some people use so much energy in my game that their energy covers the entire screen. How can I make it remain the same? Quote

AlabamaHit Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Re: Energy Bar too long? What karlos said will work. Its a workaround not a fix. If you want to fix it you need to fix it in the spot where you are letting them get over 100 energy and limit it their. I personally would not use what Karlos said. I would fix the problem. not workaround it. But if you want a simple fix Karlos' little script will work. Quote
Karlos Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Re: Energy Bar too long? Personally... So would I, but he didn't mention where the bug was.. So I did the workaround. Quote
legrolls Posted May 20, 2009 Author Posted May 20, 2009 Re: Energy Bar too long? They don't have positive energy, they have negative. Quote
BlueDevil23 Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Re: Energy Bar too long? if($ir['energy'] < 0) mysql_query(sprintf("UPDATE `users` SET `energy` = 0 WHERE (`userid` = %u)", abs(@intval($userid)))); Quote
AlabamaHit Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Re: Energy Bar too long? Negative energy....... You need to find the problem with that... Quote
legrolls Posted May 20, 2009 Author Posted May 20, 2009 Re: Energy Bar too long? When they cook food, energy is deducted. So they buy a lot of ingredients and deduct negative. Quote
2Pacalypse Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Re: Energy Bar too long? Do a check on their current energy, and the energy it takes to cook the food, then do a little equation like (energy - energy needed) and if it <0 then don't llet it happen. And if the equation =>0 then let ti go through ;) That would stop negative energy :D Quote
