1.   Happy to take an offer. If you are interested I can get it uploaded for you to look around
2.   It was through paypal but not organised by me and they never took any issue to it
3. They are? The game has been run from the US and literally nobody has gave a shit as long as there is no obviously illegal content such as kids and animals There is a clause that any images are the owners responsibility. The game itself operates within the law. Any illegal content will be reported to the authorities. That's literally all that we have on that lol
4. Ah, I have one of the last essay mails I ever sent to tupe still saved on my computer. I wish I had a copy of the game that we could open for old times sake but it wouldn't be the same without her. I only have odds and sods downloaded to my computer, files that I had worked on. From what I can see I was practically an owner of TT when I came along? I've got a folder called Staff Interviews and a document about rules etc lol
5. It is hard to say because my thought bubble will be different to yours. For instance, I chose not to have a hospital in the game because I wanted my attack system to be different. Therefore when you win an attack, you win money and gain stats automatically. The losers stats decrease. However, you may decide you need a hospital. In my opinion, the game is playable now at a basic level. Users are able to train up and attack each other. Escort service works and provides temporary increases in stats to train. The main area that needs work is communication ie mailbox, forums and the chat box. The heart of every successful game is in these areas as it is the player community which makes these games last. If you're interested I can get it uploaded and working. Just didn't want to do it if nobody was interested at all.
6. Background Over the last 3 years I have been coding for www.battleofthevalley.com. It was my intention to overhaul it with a completely new version of the game as it had not had any such update since its initial release in 2006. With a Bootstrap 3 backend and a theme purchased from ThemeForest, I started the project. For any of you that may have dabbled over the years, you may know that Battle of the Valley is an adult themed version of the mccode criminal RPG, which has a strong focus on sex and prostitution and a reputation for having few game rules with regard to swearing, insults I under estimated the amount of time and effort it would take to complete and release the project, and due to real life commitments, I was unable to bring it to 100% completion. I ran alpha testing at the end of 2015, but the players who registered had no concept of what alpha entailed and their feedback was selfish to issues with their own player and not those that were the focus of the testing. The good news was that everything that I wanted to test came back okay. We have since sold www.battleofthevalley.com however the people that purchased it did not wish to purchase rights to After Dark, which if released, will make it a direct competitor. The back-end As previously explained, the game utilises Bootstrap 3 for its framework and has a completely responsive template which I have purchased from ThemeForest. This means the game window can be scaled and is playable on large screens or tablets and mobile devices. The game is coded in PHP and is loosely based around some mccode functionality to allow for a smoother transition between the current version of battleofthevalley and this game as we were unsure when we started the project as to whether the game would be an upgrade or a new version. Therefore, the game is also loosely based on a familiar mccode database. Game Mechanics As mentioned, the game is only very loosely based on mccode. All significant features such as training, attacking etc are my own work and creation using my own formula to determine the outcome. The variables used in the formula were all inflated and scaled in both directions, in MS Excel to prove that they would be robust and not throw things out of proportion in the future. Given this is my own development, features such as attacking and training are unique to this game and you will not see them anywhere else. Preview The game isn't hosted at the moment but if there is interest, I will upload it and you can take a look around. Attached to this post are a number of screenshots to tempt your tastebuds. Parts of the layout and design have changed since the screenshots were taken What's included - Full game code - Database populated as is - All images (licensed) - Template file and license - Support from me for 30 days while you get everything up together and to answer any questions asked after purchase As part of the build I purchased licenses and addons for a number of other 3rd party software including map and city generators which I will include as well, which will enable you to create a dynamic 3D city map - if you have the time! Note - there is no playing user base. This game was an alpha release. There is however a database of alpha registered users and their email addresses which you may be able to use to establish your initial player base. Price As you know, developing games is very time consuming. I have invested more hours than I care to think about in to developing this to a playable state. That being said, I am open to all sensible offers. PM me Questions Ask here or PM is fine.
7. Dominion - definitely a name I remember. Weren't you TT staff or something? Thanks for the welcome back guys :)
8. Hey Cronus, welcome back battleofthevalley.com still sees 100 users daily without any major reconstruction since opening in 2006! The owner has just recently sold it this month after 10 long and fairly successful years
9. I didn't even realise this place still existed. Is there anyone here who remembers me as being part of the community between 2006-2010? I was one of the original owners of an mccode v1 game called Murder-City back in around 2004, a rival game to Criminal Country which was also an original when a single version of the engine could be purchased online for $150. I went on to develop Murder-City 2 and at the same time, offering a large number of unique modifications for both v1 and v2 of the popular mccode engine. I was a reputable developer back in the day having worked on a couple of old favourites including Criminal Country, Nuclear Wastelands and Tropical Terror. Most recently, for the last 3 years I have been a casual developer for Battle of the Valley, another favourite dating back 10 years or so. BlackMagicWoman has recently sold Battle of The Valley which leaves me with a little time on my hands. That being said, if anyone would like any development work done or is interested in any of my modifications or projects - please let me know. I am sure a number of you probably already have my modifications embedded in your game without realising ;) For those who I don't know here, which is probably all of you now, I hope I am able to rebuild my reputation here and begin working on some of your games.
10. Re: [Drug mod]SQL query ...and you've got an illegal copy of mine and Oxidati0n's drug mod
11. Re: History Question For Homework Yea the idea of the board is to ask for guidance really...not to get someone else doing your hold piece of homework That my friend would be called plagiarism
12. Re: Need help? Oh btw, those courses listed above are all British courses I think, so anyone from anywhere else may not know what I'm talking about..but hey, all the programming software and languages are the same so we can still help each other :)   There isn't no edit post button so yea, had to add this in here lol
13. Hey, I saw this board was pretty empty so I've decided to make a post! The majority of this community are in or nearly in college, and most probably taking IT courses - as we all express an interest in IT. Nearly all of the IT based courses you do in college will involve programming, and you will most likely be set assignments on a programming module. I know AS Computing, BTEC ND IT Practitioners, BTEC ND Software Development, Oracle Academy and a few other courses all involve programming units. md has started this board so we can help one another with any programming homework we may be set, which will most likely be either website design/development based or using Visual Basic.   If you enjoy using Visual Basic or need to use it for your homework, Microsoft offer a free download to the Visual Basic Express edition, which will probably be similar to a version that your college uses. I've gave the link below: http://www.microsoft.com/express/download/ All courses set similar tasks; such as creating a calculator, or a unit converter, so if you need help on any of this just ask!
14. Re: [Request] PHP Gamer Twysted perhaps? he was a graphic designer for these sorta games, and disappeared pretty fast scamming quite a few people in the process
15. Re: FACEBOOK GAME DEVELOPMENT but how can it be like mccodes when it isn't even 100% perfect in the first place that's what I was saying..
