Anyway, I'll stop spamming up this topic and leave you guys in peace. It was quite frustrating to see some (kid?) posting this here, I'm surprised that I just happened to come across it actually! Hopefully he does the right thing and comes up with something of his own... if not, more fool him. Since I've an account here I may post a bit more other than moaning now.. cyas for now. :)

I have to say, I've read a lot of posts from yourself (nice to meet you) and they never seize to amaze me. On one hand you say "copying a look & feel is not an issue", then you go on to say later that "we know how much effort is required to come up with something unique". Now regardless of the law because this is certainly something that the law would never be involved with anyway (it's not worth it), would you not support people who have their work ripped? Whether it's graphical or not. I understand that layouts can be similar, of course. However it's obvious in this case that the guy has come along and straight ripped from our website - even the content (words etc) are exactly the same. So he didn't just come up with a "similar layout", otherwise I wouldn't be so pissed off. If you knew how much effort it was to come up with something unique, you guys (moderators, administrators here) would probably take action against people ripping other sites directly for production use. Especially when the person doing this is clearly deluded (else he wouldn't have claimed to be working on this for some days). Ripping sites to play with, mess around, learn? Sure, we've probably all done that - in a local test bed. Not for a website you intend to publish publically and you certainly wouldn't take the credit for it, regardless of how simple the layout /design was.

The icons are not my own work, though I do have permission to use them. I don't care if there is copyright infringement or anything like that, it's called being a dick. I also don't really care what anybody here thinks of the layout (though thanks for the feedback), that's not why I'm here, I'm here just to point out that this guy is talking out of his arse. "Working on this layout for days" - yeah right. This was done around a 4 - 5 weeks ago, it's pretty obvious he's gone and ripped the HTML/CSS. Ripping is one thing, but to rip it and then come here to claim he's been "working" on it (despite it being exactly the same with a few images not being loaded plus the "USERNAME" text in the status header) is just plain annoying. Why would somebody make up such a lie and believe it themselves? Who knows..

I see your game is also based in New York City and I also see mention of the "crime force" there (we have two sides - the "police force" and the "crime force"). BTW this page for example was in this state ages ago, last month at the beginning of development. For further clarification, I had ran this game "Criminal Force" back in 2008 with this "crime force" and "police force" but later closed it, re-developing it now. I just felt the need to post this incase somebody comes back with stupid comments on how I may have ripped this guys layout... EDIT: Jaaaacccckkk, according to the forums software, you're online and browsing this thread. At least apologise and say you will scrap it then start again yourself? :) I'd really like to get on with something else now but I just can't wait for your reply! I'm kinda thinking you may come back with some rubbish though, so we will see. EDIT 2: The status text to the left of the clock, below the header, varies. This is why the screenshots show two different pieces of text there, though the text in his screenshot is also directly from our website. Not that I'm complaining about that, just further proof of where his little layout came from.

Wow. Just wow. I browse these forums every few days, generally only taking a look at a few topics. Please, do your own work - this does not look good on you and has immensely annoyed me. I was interested to find in one of your replies that you've "added tooltips" to the stats bars, not that it's unique or anything but I would have thought they would have been in place from the start considering you ripped the design from our website. Ok, the design isn't anything special, no unqiue graphics / images, nothing that cost a lot of money... still, it's annoying.
