  1. Title: Flocculate Site URL: http://www.flocculate.net/ Site Description: I built this site with a friend a few months ago but due to lack of interest it's not progressed past beta phase. The idea was to create a site that people could use to join teams to work on projects. So for example if you had a really good idea for a game but lacked the skills to code it you could post your idea and find people willing to work on it. It's kind of like the idea behind the joint projects forum here. I hadn't realised that sites like http://www.elance.com existed before I started work on it or I wouldn't have bothered, but the idea with Flocculate is that people would work on projects and money wouldn't necessarily change hands. Comments are welcome, I'm more interested in comments about the concept than any bugs that people might find, but all feedback is welcome. Thanks.
  2. Re: [REVIEW] Medieval War Looks very nice, I registered but can't login. Do you get an email you have to click or something? I've no email and can't remember being told to expect one, maybe that could be improved. I just get a warning that I can't login as either the username isn't registered or password is wrong or I was banned, already! :-D OK, I re-registered and I think the problem was I didn't enter a number for my avatar, I entered a name instead. This part of the registration needs making clearer I think and if it's not valid you need to get them to re-enter it as it seemed to let me register initially but with wrong data and so in the end I wasn't registered. Might be confusing to some people, like me. :-D Will play for a bit and report back!
  3. Re: Trying something out I use Windows as I?m not prepared to pay the Apple premium for what I perceive to be at best a marginally superior product, Windows is just better value for money in my experience and for the uses I put it to. I use a Mac at work sometimes and find it incredibly fiddly to do even the most basic things, but that?s probably me being old and used to Windows! Since I?ve had XP and Vista, total of about 2 years, I?ve never experienced the OS crashing, so from that point of view Windows has improved a lot since Win 98. The only virus I ever had on Windows was caused by a vulnerability in Outlook Express back in 2001, which I now no longer use. At the end of the day a computer is a tool (and some of the users are too) and so everyone should just choose what they prefer. Let?s start a thread about something less contentious, like religion or something.
  4. Re: [REVIEW] Anime warz OK, as nobody else has reviewed it yet I'll give a few pointers. 1. I like the homepage, nice and clean, maybe get rid of some of the borders. 2. I robbed Tesco but it didn't tell me how much I stole. 3. I think I found a bug: 4. Yes, another bug:   Let me know when it's fixed and I'll have another look, it's got some potential I think.

    Hello

I've been on this forum a day or two now and only just found this section. :-D I'm into coding and gaming and so it made sense for me to learn PHP and have a dabble at making my own games. My first ever website using PHP was a game review site: http://www.ogreview.org I then had a go at a BBG: http://www.globalconflict.org.uk Currently working on a new BBG: http://www.iron-empire.com It's still under development but just about playable, would like feedback and suggestions, nothing too critical though as it is still being coded!
  6. Re: [REVIEW] 1. Love the home-page, very pro-looking, but the name of the game should reallly be on it somewhere! Also, the imagery doesn't really go with the game name, but maybe I'll get that later! 2. The story has a spelling mistake in it, "freely" has only 1 l in it. There are some other spelling errors, for example "amount" has only one m in it. I won't bore you with the other spelling errors, but they may annoy some people, especially old buggers like me. :-P 3. I see premium members can be Wizards, who seem to be the best race by a mile. Might lead to an unfair game for everyone else which may seriously affect your game's logevity. I'd offer it free to everyone until the game is established and then introduce a new race, which is for premium members and slightly better than the rest. You may get some people who enjoy the game upgrading then. 4. I assume this means I don't have a weapon: " Sea Man uses their . In return, you wield your . " 5. When you buy an item (weapon) it should be your default weapon assuming you had nothing before. Overall it's very professional and slick without any major bugs that I could find. It's probably too simplistic as it stands to really be a great game that people will pay to play as premium members, but adding more missions might help solve that. Overall, good effort!
